A bit more about Nicola..

Nicola O'Haire

Nicola began her training in Ballet and Speech & Drama at the age of 6 with All Stars Academy of Performing Arts. In 2007 she was an orphan in a West End production of Annie in The Royal Theatre Castlebar.

Through her teenage years she played leading roles in musicals such as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, Sarah Browne in Guys & Dolls, Donkey in Shrek the Musical, and many more.

She has performed on stage as a backing vocalist for Russell Watson in renowned theaters such as The Waterfront Theatre/ Ulster Hall in Belfast, The National Opera House in Wexford and The Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin.

Through Nicola’s college years, she has played roles such as: ‘Natalie’ in the play Mosquitoes by Lucy Kirkwood, ‘Maggie’ in ‘A Chrous Line’ and ‘Cinderella’ in ‘Into The Woods’.

Upon finishing college in the summer of 2021, Nicola featured in the ‘Castle-Lake Arts Festival’ held in Co. Wexford. She performed as an actor and featured singer at the event, playing Hermia & Quince in the Shakespearean play ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’.

In this same summer, Nicola also worked on a brand-new single with world renowned songwriter, Brendan Graham. The song, titled ‘Orphan Girl’ was released on the 6th October 2021, and went straight to No.1 on the Irish iTunes Charts on the day of its release.

Nicola officially graduated from American College Dublin, Irish American University in November 2021, where she received a First-Class Honours degree for her studies on the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Musical Theatre programme. Further to this, she was awarded with the College medal for Undergraduate Student of the Year (2021) having achieved the highest GPA of that year.

The year 2022 saw Nicola’s industry debut, where she featured in Shauna Carrick’s new Irish musical, ‘Tír na nÓg’. This production was showcased to the public in June of 2022 and was received with the utmost of praise. Alongside her 2022 stage endeavours, Nicola also featured on the screens, most notably in television commercials for NOW TV Sky Sports, and for IrishJobs.ie.

As 2023 kicks-off, Nicola continues to strive in all aspects of her professional and personal life, and holds great excitement for the year of opportunities that lies ahead. 😊
